Adobe Flash Player
Adobe's Flash Player is a recommended plug-in for viewing multimedia files on the web. With Flash installed, you can view animations, hear streaming audio, and participate in interactive demos. To check for current versions of all your web browser plug-ins, please go to Mozilla's plug-in check here.
Flash Player is a free plug-in; it is available for download from Adobe's web site.
- Download the Windows version of Flash Player for Firefox and Internet Explorer (Flash Player is integrated in Google Chrome)
- Download the OS X version of Flash Player for Firefox and Safari (Flash Player is integrated in Google Chrome)
No further configuration is necessary.

Security advisory: multiple security vendors have reported and Adobe has acknowledged vulnerabilities in versions of Flash Player for OS X and Windows prior to 184.108.40.206 Information Systems & Computing (ISC) strongly suggests upgrading to Flash Player 220.127.116.11 or later, available below.
Note: Many schools and units have standardized on the use of specific applications and operating systems. Faculty and staff should speak to their local support provider to determine which products are supported locally before selecting or purchasing software.
Compatibility note: there have been reports that Flash Player versions 11 and 12 are incompatible with Dragon Naturally Speaking for Windows and either Firefox or Internet Explorer. ISC suggests that Dragon users select Google Chrome as their default browser.
Windows 8.x compatibility
Flash Player is integrated within Windows Internet Explorer 10/11 and compatible with Windows 8.x. It is also compatible when used within desktop versions of Chrome and Firefox.
OS X Mavericks compatibility
Flash Player versions 11.9 and above function correctly in OS X Mavericks.
