At some point in your IT career at Penn, you will likely be asked to manage the purchase of hardware, software, or IT services. This session will provide an introduction to Penn Purchasing services and highlight how they can help you with among other things, Marketplace Analysis, Risk Mitigation, Negotiation Planning, and Contract review.

The Lunchtime Learning session will also provide an overview of the Strategic Sourcing Process, potential pitfalls, and “do’s and don’ts”  that you should keep in mind when running a competitive bid process and interacting with suppliers.
