Super User Group (SUG): The Long View in IT

We’re used to planning for the short and medium term, but what happens when we can look to the medium to long term? John Mulhern III of ISC’s newly created Emerging Solutions department will take a look at ten different products and technologies that he believes will be important to the University in the next five years.

Symantec Endpoint Protection Management and Symantec Product Line overview

Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP), the University's recommended virus protection software, has evolved over time to include antivirus, antispyware, and a number of other security features.

Todd Conway, Symantec Systems Engineer, will present an overview of SEP featuring its Management console which enables one to centrally manage both physical and virtual Windows/MacOS/Virtual endpoints.

Fall IT Staff Convention 2014

The 2014 Fall IT Staff Convention will be held in the afternoon of Monday, November 17th at the Inn at Penn. The theme for this convention is "Emerging Tech," with talks focusing on both the technologies of tomorrow as well as how technology can improve learning at Penn today.

Our keynote speaker is Dr. Lyle Ungar, a machine learning researcher and professor at the Computer and Information Science department at SEAS with affiliation to the Psychology department at SAS. Lyle will be presenting on 'Measuring Well-Being Using Social Media'.

Upgrading one's OS has become much simpler and attractive to the end user than it has in the past.
