Each year, Penn's Provost office sponsors a series of events around a theme chosen by faculty, staff and students. The 2014-2015 academic year is an opportunity for us to explore health, wellness, and welfare across many areas of our lives. What role does health play in defining our history and guiding our future? In our relationships and interactions with others? In technological development? In business? How does health differ throughout the world, both conceptually and physically? What are some of the ethical and legal questions health raises?
We will launch the Year of Health in August with the Penn Reading Project as part of New Student Orientation. We will continue with interdisciplinary conferences, symposia, exhibits, performances and more, all produced by Penn’s schools, departments, resource centers, and partners. If you have suggestions for speakers or events, tell us now!
